My name is Markus Grempel. I’m from a small town in Franconia, Coburg. There I have spent many years of my life. For 25 years I have run a Store called “Funbox” with sporting goods & accessories. I sold BMX, skateboard, snowboard and everything already in the early 90s.

I myself was a BMX proffesional and traveled the world for competitions or shows for many years. Half Pipe was my main discipline.

After my intensive BMX career I completely fell in snowboarding. At the time of my BMX life, little time in the winters for snowboarding, I did not have so many days on the board.
This has changed since 2006. I made my first snowboarding license and wanted to go to the mountains all season. At that time, I left for Flachau – Austria, where I landed as a ski instructor at a ski school.

In Flachau I stayed around 3 years, until I got a great offer from the Blue Tomato snowboard school in Obertauern. There I stayed for 5 years as a snowboard instructor.

I’m the father of a 13-year-old daughter who grew up with snowboarding and leads in a team of Snowboard Bayern. She trains a lot in the Zillertal/Austria. (www.mia-grempel.de)

For this reason, i moved to Zillertal in 2016.
I also work here as a snowboard instructor.
